I hadn't plan on blogging today but after I saw a picture and ad in Yahoo News, I decided to go ahead and let the world know how I feel. I'm beginning to hate the fact that I'm an American...Why? Because our country has no respect, especially for our leader, President Barack Obama. People bend over backwards to make him seem so out of place. I guess at the end of the day they don't realize that WE are a reflection of him. WE chose to follow him. So personally, I can do without the attacks that humiliate him, trying to make him look ignorant. The headline I saw today was just ridiculously stupid, and I guarantee that there are better pics to be shown, but of course some "bright" person decided to take this one to the media as usual. And it reads,"Obama Accidentally Ruins U.N. Photo," with the picture above attached. I don't see any humor behind the thought of adding this picture to the news. If you're an American citizen and you are embarassing YOUR President, what do you think other people outside of the U.S. view you as? It is very understandable why other countries feel as the do about ours. Disrespectful, hateful, and racist. Clearly WE don't know a good thing til its gone. The race card has been drawn once again and America is definitely playing spades with it.

TROY DAVIS...GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
The convicted inmate that served a little more than 20 years in prison for a crime that he didn't commit is now dead. This situation has caused so much controversy throughout America because its bias and its unjust. There is so much to be said about this case; it seems to have been brought to the forefront overnight, the so-called witnesses recanted their statements saying that the police made them testify against Davis and blame him as guilty, and all of a sudden after serving 20+ yrs, they want him dead? Some things just don't logically add up. Was this a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Was it payback for the death of the officer that was killed? There are so many questions and NOT enough answers. Although many are trying not to play the race card, people lets face it. RACISM STILL EXISTS. It never went away. Yes, this is NOT the only part of the problem, but most likely it has definitely played a major part. Out of 9(NINE!!!) witnesses--7(SEVEN) confessed and said he WAS NOT guilty; YET this man was still killed. This makes our country look terrible. How do we say "in God we trust," but righteously WE(United States) never seek God--period. We claim to be ONE NATION UNDER GOD--but we are so divided to the point where our President can't even have laws and bills passed because the house is against him. We claim to have LIBERTY=FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR ALL....YET, this case wouldn't even get a review for a man to be granted justice or liberty. Times are changing, people are becoming more and more ruthless, and the world is falling apart...My advice: If you haven't yet, KNOW GOD. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but His word shall remain. God is the author and finisher. He sits high and looks low. Nobody greater than Him. #PRAYorDIE....
TROY DAVIS= No Justice, NO PEACE!
Troy Davis, a black man, had been sentenced to deathrow for ultimately murdering a police officer. Though 7 out of the 9 former witness have recentley recanted their statements, saying that Davis wasn't the killer, the GA Pardon Board has decided to no longer review the case and to go forward with the execution by injection that has been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21,2011 at 7pm. QUESTION...Why has it taken so long to review this case in the first place? The slaying of the Savannah officer took place in 1989...it is now 2011, almost 2012. What's really going on?
Social medias such as Twitter and Facebook have really gone crazy over this case because the ruling seems quite unfair and unjust. Many have compared Troy Davis' case to the most recent of Casey Anthony--a white woman-- who killed her own child. What message are we sending America? This is a powerful movement because it does indeed allow us to come together and unite in PRAYER. People from ALL alks of life are participating in the event to do as much as possible to avoid Davis from execution. Like Casey Anthony's case, there is no specific evidence.
She was freed and half of the world wanted her dead because the evidence and clues presented pointed her as guilty. Troy Davis has no specific evidence and 7 witnesses on his side YET he is still scheduled for death. It's unequal. It's not justice for ALL. Its not standing united and falling divided. Its racial discrimination--no matter how many ways you break it down, tear it up, and split up pros and cons. This is America. #PRAYorDIE.

10 YEARS LATER....(REMEMBERING 9-11-2001)
I will never forget the few drastic memories from highschool. I remember it had to be around 9am. I was in the 9th grade, a freshman at Cedar Grove Highschool, sitting in Ms. McCallister's English class. Then all of a sudden teachers were going frantic and we knew something had happened or something was going on but we didn't know what it was, where it was, or who it could possibly effect. Now from the looks of the situation at hand, we thought that the school was under yet another bomb threat or some type of intruder alert. Never in a million years would we have thought that some planes had been hijacked and flown into the twin towers all the way in NY! We were in Atlanta and I think that the city had been locked down for a moment because there was no official news of exactly what was going on, but all you did know was that people were being killed and hurt for no apparent reason at all. Its so unfortunate that there were so many innocent lives lost on account of the thoughtless minds of others. I actually cant believe that people are cruel enough to kill in such disturbing ways...especially ways that require so much skill and thought. Its scary to know that everyday people--foreign or not-- even have the ability to think like that....Well though we can't change the past, its always a "Thank YOU God" for a brighter and better future. Thank you God for rebirth and the ability to move forward...NOW God save this country and its people, please, lol!
I don't know about others but I pray for this country as well as its leaders...BLACK leaders, might I add. I love the US but I hate the "stuck on slavery" mentality. Barack Obama is actually a great President--black or not--but his authority seems overthrown half of the time because of his race. Its not about color any more people...get over it, and even if it was, one thing I can say is that the "african americans" DIDNT do it....
Anywho, God is still faithful because we are all still here...
Holding on to God's unchanging hand daily!!!!
God bless the hearts orf those lost and may your peace continue to be with their families and our country...

Brains over Beauty?!?!?! Basketball Wives L.A.
Okay, is it just me or has reality television gotten out of hand? Yes I understand the business and the money but really? Ladies when are we going to learn plain and simple, self respect?! Alrighty....on with the blog. Basetball Wives has geared up another season, this time with ladies/women of Los Angeles. The most popular and only recognizable face on the show isn't Shaunie O'Neal but Miss Gloria Govan. This time I don't think she's going to quit the show nor walk away since she has her sister, Laura Govan along with her. Even though this is the L.A.'s show second week running, it almost seems as though so much has gone on already, leaving the audience a bit clueless and or confused. Unlike the BBW's of Miami, these women seem to have some type of relationship affiliation with an actual basketball player, whether retired or active. This season also has a variety of women...You know, we are used to seeing the "younger" women, or women who "look" young in age on the shows ranting, raving,fighting,cursing,etc...BUT VH1 took it a little tooooo far with these OLDER women participating and fighting with the younger ones. I mean, if you don't believe me, watch it for yourself.
Anywho, my issue is not so much of the unruly behavior but the value of a woman. No, I'm not a super deep spiritual religious blogger nor person. I do believe that as a WOMAN we should be able to portray ourselves with a bit more dignity. Of course its probably stunted for entertainment purposes, but don't forget that this very business runs the world. PEOPLE mock what they see, whether its clothes, slang, music, dance, whatever. I think that they are all beautiful ladies BUT we just have to do better, that is all I'm saying... But I love the fashion!--***smile***--
